Everything you need to know to be prepared, from start to finish.
You’ve spent time designing your perfect countertop—choosing the color, edge, backsplash, sink cutouts, and more. Now, the big day is almost here: installation day! To help you feel fully prepared, here’s exactly what you can expect when your new countertop is professionally installed.
🕘 1. Arrival and Setup
Our installation team will arrive during the scheduled time window. They’ll bring in all the tools and equipment needed and begin by preparing the work area. This includes clearing a safe path, laying down protective coverings if needed, and reviewing the space to ensure everything is ready for a smooth install.
Tip: Make sure the area is clear of personal items, pets, or anything that might get in the way.
🧱 2. Old Countertop Removal (If Requested)
If you selected the option to have your old countertop removed, this is the first step. The team will carefully detach and remove your existing surface, being cautious to avoid damage to cabinets, walls, or plumbing.
Note: We do not handle plumbing or electrical work. You’ll need a plumber or electrician to disconnect and reconnect your sink or appliances before and after installation.
📏 3. Final Checks & Dry Fitting
Once the space is cleared, the installers will do a quick check to ensure your cabinets are level and stable. Then, they’ll place the countertop pieces in position without adhesive to confirm the fit. If any small on-site adjustments are needed, they’ll handle it right there.
🪚 4. Installing the Countertop
Once everything fits perfectly, the countertop is secured in place using high-quality adhesive and fasteners. Seams (if any) are joined and blended, and the countertop is leveled to match the flow of the kitchen or bathroom.
🛠️ 5. Cutouts for Sink, Faucet, and Soap Dispenser
If your sink, faucet holes, or soap dispenser cutouts weren’t pre-made during fabrication, the team will make these on-site as required. This is done with precision tools to ensure everything aligns with your plumbing setup and accessories.
Important: Please have your sink and faucet on-site and available for reference during installation.
🧽 6. Cleanup and Final Walkthrough
Once the countertop is secured and all cutouts are completed, the crew will clean the work area—removing dust, debris, and tools. Then, you’ll be invited to inspect the job. The installer will walk you through the completed work and answer any final questions.
✅ 7. What Happens After Installation?
Here’s what you can expect post-install:
-
Wait Time: Let the adhesive cure for at least 24 hours before using heavy appliances or attaching sinks.
-
Plumbing Hook-Up: A plumber will need to reconnect your sink and faucet (if applicable).
-
Final Payment/Confirmation: Any final balance due will be collected, and a receipt or warranty information may be provided.
